Wave 02- Marvel Legends 2013

Pre-orders through BBTS have opened on Wave 2 of Marvel Legends for 2013, which is good news for fans because of the exciting lineup of characters Hasbro has chosen. Not only is Hasbro, rehashing one of the most popular Legends characters ever (Hawkeye), they are also including a very attractive Jim Lee style Jean Grey, and the chance to complete your Wrecking Crew, without the long wait usually expected between same-team character releases. Lastly, they threw in an updated Black Panther and re-used the Big Time/ Future Foundation Spider Man mold to bring you Scarlet Spider. Oh, and did I mention you get a Rocket Raccoon BAF to add to the side of your ever so lonely Drax figure?

WTF no. 7

Well it certainly has been quite a while since my last post, but school, work, life (and now even a Hurricane) will do that. Regardless, I still found the time to bring you this latest installment of Weekend Toy Fun. Not much fun given the 70 mph winds outside my window, but I still have power to shoot a couple nice pics. Check them out and some recent acquisitions and missed opportunities.

Oh yeah, that's right, Marvel Legends has brought back Deadpool in all his bad-assness. Check out more on him and some other cool finds.

On the second leg of my trip, I visited the Philippines, where I found a surprising amount of quality toy stores. Aside from regular big retail chain stores, I discovered a slew of hidden gems that equal many of those in Hong Kong. I'll even go as far as saying that the Philippines boasts more quality shops specializing the the sale of loose figures than Hong Kong. Read on to find out why, and how to get to these shops yourself.

Hong Kong Toy Shopping: In's Point, Richmond 111 & Fuk Wing St.

I have to say, Hong Kong is an even more amazing toy destination than I had previously experienced, or even imagined. This year I had the pleasure of revisiting, and with the help of Shaun Wong's awesome guide, I was able to explore all of the hidden toy treasures Hong Kong has to offer. The highlight of the trip, hands down, had to be In's Point. This hidden-away gem, is a retail complex that houses one of the greatest concentrations of all things toy-related I have ever seen. Check it, and these other awesome toy spots out!

This thing is so amazing I just had to put up a quick post. This is, most certainly, the most massive Hot Toys figure ever! Not to mention, it's probably the most bad-ass recreation of the Incredible Hulk to ever be imagined into existence. Standing at 16.5 inches, this Hot Toys masterpiece will undoubtedly become the hot item, come it's release in early 2013. I can't wait to scope him out in person! Click the pic above for more info. on pre-ordering this spectacular work of art through BBTS.
